Watkins Stained Glass Studio specializes in Religious stained glass windows and have made windows for over 380 churches in the Rocky Mountain Area and nearby states. They work with architects, interior designers and church committees providing them with a Master Plan for the project. The studio creates stained glass church windows in all styles from very traditional stained glass to modern architectural glass. Examples of Watkins Stained Glass Windows are shown on this site and range from the very traditional to contemporary. The Last Supper was created as a representation of DaVinci’s Last Supper, it measures 20 feet x 10 feet, with every piece of glass very finely painted and kiln-fired many times to create the look of the original fresco in Milan. Other examples depict a stained glass Rose Window, Victorian scrollwork with an Alpha and Omega, Mystries of the Rosary and Creation and the High Renaissance style of the finely painted Stations of the Cross. Contemporary designed windows are good for large expanses of glass and very successful where a series of windows convey a continuity of symbols, color and design. An extensive knowledge of the Bible is also essential since liturgical stained glass windows make up a large portion of the work done in the studio.
