Design - Sketch

This is the first of the many stages of the stained glass window. The sketch becomes the master plan for the project and changes can be made during this process.

Customers should visit WSG to view the 1000’s of photographs and sketches of stained glass windows previously made by the studio to help them decide on their design preference; customers can also bring in their own design ideas. Prospective clients may also use a website, magazines, architectural journals or art books for design possibilities to be incorporated into the sketch.

After we have determined the type of art glass style preferred, we will design a custom sketch for each customer, not to be repeated. The sketch will be used for the glass color selection it will be a scaled miniature version of the window, hand drawn with a1 inch to 1-foot scale. We can create a variety of styles from traditional to contemporary with each window being an original.
